Description
Haiku – It seems like such a simple structure – until you start to write one, that is.
Derived from 17th-century Japanese poetry that was formed in protest to the elaborate poetic traditions of the time, a western haiku, is commonly a three-line poem consisting of 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively.
Traditionally, a haiku rarely rhymes or has a title, it usually has a nature-related motif, is often juxtaposed with more human elements, and could be considered as a snapshot into a wider, untold story – the original soundbite, if you will.
You might wish to read this book from cover to cover or to simply open it and read a haiku or two before moving on with your day. Whichever way you wish to read it, I’m sure there is a Horny Haiku that you will connect with at some level.
